LOW CARB SNACKS FOR WEIGHT LOSS

This post is all about our top 5 snacks that are super convenient and quick when we’re in a hurry.

Whether you’re running around all day and you don’t have time for lunch or you need some snacks for work, these really quick and easy snacks are for you. 

There’s no need for you to go hungry when you can quickly throw these snacks in a small container and into your purse for snacking on the go.

These snacks are great for the whole family, even your picky eater!

5 Low Carb | Keto Grab & Go Snacks For Weight Loss

 

Hello, I’m Jen and I’m a “snack-aholic”. Is that a thing?  Who knows.  What I do know though is that I LOVE snacks.  Actually my whole family loves snacks.  Whether it’s because we’re watching a movie, hanging out at the park with our daughter, at work, bored.. you get it right? 

If you’re anything like us, you really need to have a variety of different low carb and keto snacks hanging around.  Otherwise you may go off the rails and get into some foods that you know are naughty. 

I decided to create a list of 5 yummy snacks that we really enjoy and think you would too.  I want you to know that this list is comprised of mostly pre-made or pre-packaged foods.  This makes it pretty perfect if you’re super busy or you don’t have time to meal prep your snacks. 

High Fat- Low Carb Snack #1

I really want to make sure that you stick to your low carb journey and reach whatever goals you might have.  I know that in order for me to succeed I need to have a plan.  That plan is low carb snacks that are readily available whenever a craving or urge for crappy food comes along. 

Our first snack is a bit higher in fats.  As you know this is okay when living a keto lifestyle.  The great thing about a fattier snack is that it can be quite small, but will keep you satiated. 

For this snack we have a beef stick, macadamia nuts and jalapeño jack olives. 

EASY LOW CARB SNACKS

I absolutely adore this snack. It’s super salty and delicious.  You can purchase both the macadamia nuts and the Country Archer beef sticks at Costco.

If you do not have a Costco membership you can get both of these items from Target.

The olives were purchased at Aldi. I love getting them from Aldi because they have a ton of different stuffed olives.  I’m unsure if they are available everywhere, but I did find some stuffed olives on Wal-Mart’s site.

keto snacks

Snack 1- Beef Stick, Mac Nuts, Olives

Yield: 1 Serving
Prep Time: 2 minutes
Total Time: 2 minutes

Snack 1- High Fat

Ingredients

  • 1 Beef Stick
  • ½ serving or 17 grams of Macadamia Nuts
  • 4 Jalapeño Jack Olives

Instructions

Measure all ingredients and eat immediately.

Our second snack is higher protein and does require a tiny bit of prep work. This snack consists of delicious pork rinds, 1 soft or hard boiled egg and a bag of Dilly Bites (pickles). We actually purchased the pork rinds and the eggs from our local Grocery Outlet and the pickles from Aldi. The pickles actually come in a 6 pack, but I have even seen them sold individually at the Dollar Tree!

KETO SNACKS WALMART

Snack 2- Hard boiled egg, Pork rinds, 1 bag of Dilly bites

Yield: 1 serving
Prep Time: 2 minutes
Total Time: 2 minutes

Snack 2- High protein

Ingredients

  • 1 hard boiled egg
  • 14 grams pork rinds
  • 1 bag of dilly bites

Instructions

  1. If you do not have any hard boiled eggs prepped, then make sure you make some in a pot or an instant pot.

High Protein & High Fat-Low Carb Snack #3

Snack #3 requires zero work. It has high fat and high protein which is really good if you’ve missed a meal.  Snack #3 consists of salami, blackberries and Whisps.  The bag of salami was purchased at Ralphs (I believe it’s called Kroger in other states) and the blackberries and Whisps were purchased at Costco, because the price for both were outstanding.

Snack 3- Salami, Blackberries, Parmesan Whisps

Yield: 1
Prep Time: 2 minutes
Total Time: 2 minutes

Snack #3 High Fat & High Protein

Ingredients

  • 6 slices (or 26 grams) of salami
  • 21 grams of blackberries
  • 28 grams (or 1 serving) of Parmesan Whisps

Instructions

  1. Measure all ingredients and enjoy

Here is another snack option that includes a “fresh” ingredient. I purchased the English cucumber and the gourmet almonds from Costco. The gouda snacking cheese are my 18 month old daughters favorite and we always get them at Aldi.  If you are a huge cheese fan, you should definitely check out Aldi as they have a great selection. 

LOW CARB SNACK IDEAS

Wal-Mart never ceases to amaze me.  I was able to find like products at Wal-Mart. So if you do not have a Costco membership or an Aldi near you, I’d suggest checking out your local Wal-Mart.

LOW CARB SNACK IDEAS

Snack 4- Gourmet almonds, gouda snack cheese, cucumber slices

Yield: 1
Prep Time: 2 minutes
Total Time: 2 minutes

Snack 4- almonds, delicious English cucumbers and gouda cheese

Ingredients

  • 28 grams (1 serving) of gourmet almonds
  • 1 snack gouda cheese (or 1 serving)
  • 1 oz English cucumber

Finally onto our last snack. This snack is a bit higher in carbohydrates, but only because we’ve added tomatoes to the mix. If you are very strict then you may want to skip the tomatoes, but they’re pretty tasty and it’s only two small grape tomatoes. 

WEIGHT LOSS SNACKS

If you do not like feta cheese, then you can easily swap it out for one that you love. I really like feta cheese because it’s the perfect amount of creamy and tangy. Also it’s really good with tomatoes.

WEIGHT LOSS SNACKS

Snack 5- Tomatoes, Cucumber, Pepitas, Feta cheese
