Ground Turkey Egg Roll In A Bowl is absolutely delicious! Forgot to meal prep?  Maybe had a long and busy day?

Don’t sweat it! This super easy and tasty meal only takes 15 minutes to make!

You work hard and you deserve a break. 

 

The great thing about this turkey egg roll in a bowl is its simplicity. Sometimes you just have those busy days where you don’t feel like cooking some extravagant meal that requires 20 different pots and pans (ok.. little exaggeration). You know what? That’s okay!

 

Once in a while we all deserve a little break, right? Even if it’s just an extra 30 minutes where you can relax, put your feet up and watch your favorite show. My goal is to give that to YOU.

 

Maybe this is your first time hearing of egg roll in a bowl or maybe you’ve heard of it but never made it with ground turkey. Either way you’ll love this dish. There is definitely a reason why SO many in the low carb and keto communities rave about it. This very simple dish has so much flavor, is incredibly simple to make and really inexpensive. Did I mention that you’re cooking everything in one pan?!?!  So clean up is a breeze!

 

There are a couple of different reasons why ground turkey egg roll in a bowl is awesome:
  • Ground Turkey is a really inexpensive meat. If you’re on a budget, turkey is a great option.
  • Ground Turkey is a much leaner meat compared to pork sausage or ground beef. If you’re trying to lose weight on Keto or Low Carb you’re probably not eating all the fatty cuts of meat and this is a great alternative.
  • Ground Turkey is high in protein.

 

This dish can be made in advance as well! If you enjoy meal prepping or you meal prep just out of necessity then ground turkey egg roll in a bowl will be your new bff.

Easy Ground Turkey Egg Roll In A Bowl

Turkey Egg Roll In A Bowl

Total Time: 20 minutes

This Ground Turkey Egg Roll In A Bowl is packed with flavor, delicious and easy to make. This can be a main dish for even a side.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 ounce chopped yellow onion
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 tsp. fresh ginger
  • 14 ounces pre-made coleslaw mix or shredded cabbage
  • 1 tbsp. toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp. avocado oil (or oil of choice)
  • 1 tsp. red chili flakes
  • 1/4 cup coconut aminos (or soy sauce)
  • 2 large eggs
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • green onion 
  • sesame seeds
  • sriracha (to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a large pre-heated skillet, add your avocado oil and sauté your onion. This will take about 3 minutes
  2. Once sautéed, brown your ground turkey until no longer pink. Add salt and pepper to taste
  3. Add toasted sesame oil, ginger, garlic and red chili flakes. Sauté for 30 seconds (do NOT overcook your garlic)
  4. Next add your coleslaw or shredded cabbage and your coconut aminos. Stir until combined, turn down heat and cover with lid.
  5. Once coleslaw is at your desired tenderness, create a well in the middle of the pan and add your eggs. With your heat still at low, scramble your eggs until done.
  6. Add toppings of your choice- green onion, sesame seeds and sriracha. You can even add more sesame oil or coconut aminos.
  7. Enjoy!
