Ready to make a dreamy, creamy Low Carb Alfredo Sauce that takes less that 15 minutes?

This super creamy Low Carb Alfredo Sauce is so easy to make and doesn’t contain any icky additives like the store bought jars.

Because our decadent and garlicky Low Carb Alfredo Sauce is so quick to make, you can have dinner ready in just 20 minutes!

I don’t know about you, but that’s music to my ears when I just have a super busy day.

Not only can you have dinner ready in no time, but you will have a healthy, low carb, keto AND kid approved sauce.

Low Carb Alfredo Sauce

LOW CARB ALFREDO SAUCE

All that luscious, creamy, garlicky and cheesy deliciousness!  Who doesn’t love alfredo sauce, am I right?  One of the awesome benefits of low carb and keto foods are that you do not have to give up a delicious alfredo sauce.  The only thing you need to do is tweak the original recipe a little bit.  So that is what we’ve done here.  Don’t forget there’s the added bonus of a quick and easy dinner too.

Usually recipes for a Low Carb Alfredo Sauce include cream cheese, butter, heavy cream and parmesan cheese.  I’m not knocking it at all because it’s literally amazing.  However, I was looking for an alfredo sauce that didn’t sky rocket my fat macros and calorie intake.  We all understand that fat keeps you satiated and it’s where all the flavor is, but when you’re trying to lose weight you don’t necessarily need to add so much fat to your diet.

Allow me to explain.  If you are looking to lose weight on the keto diet you do not need to eat 15 tablespoons of butter all day or drink a cup of heavy whipping cream (I’m totally exaggerating here).  You can absolutely eat some leaner meats on a low carb or keto diet, and you don’t need to go overboard with all the additional fats.  If you’re trying to lose weight, you’re really looking to shed all the excess fat that is currently on your body, instead of consuming loads of it.  What you’re really looking for is a higher protein diet.

Okay, let’s get back to the Low Carb Alfredo Sauce recipe shall we?

Instead of using heavy cream, we’re opting for chicken bone broth.  Not only are you eliminating a super high fat ingredient (heavy whipping cream), but you are adding the extra benefits that bone broth provide.

So enough rambling.. let’s get started!

Making An Easy Low Carb Alfredo Sauce

So the very first thing we’ll do it get all of our ingredients and measure them out.  Then take out your favorite sauce pan or even a sauté pan.  We’ll be using a medium low heat for this. The reason is we do not want to burn any of our ingredients.

First add butter and once melted add diced garlic and salt.  Allow to cook for about a minute or until fragrant.

Next we add our cream cheese.  I find that if you cut the cream cheese just a bit, it helps break it down and melts faster.  You will want to continue to stir the cream cheese and then finally start whisking and adding your chicken bone broth.  At first it will be pretty clumpy, but keep whisking and adding the bone broth and it will eventually get creamy.

LOW CARB ALFREDO SAUCE WITHOUT HEAVY CREAM

The consistency of the alfredo sauce is completely up to you.  The amount of chicken bone broth depends on how thick or thin you like your alfredo sauce.  I used 1.5 cups of chicken bone broth which made 2 cups of alfredo sauce.  In total, you’ll end up with eight 1/4 cup servings.  But you can stretch it even further by making a thinner sauce.

As soon as your Low Carb Alfredo Sauce is at the consistency you like, add parmesan cheese and stir until melted.  Next you’ll add red pepper flakes (this can be omitted, but I think it tastes yummy), black pepper and dried parsley.

At this point you’re done and should taste your sauce and adjust any spices if needed.  You can serve over some low carb or keto approved noodles, zucchini noodles or even baked chicken.  There are so many foods that you can drizzle this sauce on.  My daughter loves it on steamed broccoli, carrots and even green beans!
